KICTANet has initiated the development of its third strategic plan. This endeavour aims to chart a course for the organisation’s future, building upon its past successes and addressing emerging challenges in the digital landscape.
The new strategic plan will guide KICTANet’s work over the next three years (2025-2027), focusing on key areas such as digital rights advocacy, policy and regulatory reforms, digital literacy and capacity building, and digital inclusion.
The KICTANet team convened in a four-day retreat to review the organisation’s performance over the past three years, considering its challenges and opportunities and celebrating its achievements.

“We are committed to becoming stronger in the next few years,” says Dr. Grace Githaiga, KICTANet’s CEO.
KICTANet’s Chairperson, Ali Hussein Kassim, expressed pride in the organisation’s past achievements and its role in shaping Kenya’s digital landscape.
He highlighted the importance of a multistakeholder approach, evident in initiatives like the Kenya and East Africa Internet Governance Forums.
The new strategic plan aims to help KICTANet navigate the evolving digital landscape and ensure that its contribution to ICT policy and digital transformation is inclusive and beneficial to all.
