KenSafeSpace: Statement on the Nationwide Internet Disruption in Kenya

The Kenyan government disrupted internet access nationwide on June 25th, 2024, coinciding with #RejectFinanceBill2024 protests. This contradicts the Communications Authority of Kenya’s (CA) promise of no internet shutdown. Internet disruptions violate fundamental rights to freedom of expression, assembly, and access to information.
