Press statement – Call for a response on the Internet Shutdown in Kenya in June 2024

Kenyans denounce internet shutdown during #RejectFinanceBill2024 protests as a violation of free speech and access to information, despite prior assurances from the Communications Authority. This action violates provisions of the Constitution of Kenya and international human rights law, which guarantee fundamental rights and  freedoms, including freedom of expression, access to information, and peaceful assembly.”
